You will be part of HSE’s wider pay and reward team within the HR Division, who provide HR resource across different business areas. Your role will sit within HR supporting the BSR HR business partner and HR’s contribution to the BSR project.
You will play a significant part in ensuring the creation of the new Building Safety Regulator (BSR). The regulator is likely to draw on expertise which is new to HSE and draw from skills across Government and wider industry. To meet this demand it is likely to mean the transfer of people into HSE from other organizations. You will use your skills to facilitate these transfers and ensure the smooth creation of the regulator. The timeframe for delivering the regulator is challenging and requires you to be responsive to the emerging demands of the programme, but the impact of your achievement is far reaching. We will create roles new to HSE and will need to understand the external market and therefore the reward package we will need to offer to attract the talent we need
To deliver the brief you will build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, other Government Departments and external bodies driving satisfaction and best practice. You will also work collaboratively with work stream leads, external providers and stakeholders to advise on and influence the approach to both reward and transferring in of those joining the new regulator.
HSE has a good relationship with its trade unions, you will ensure that trade unions are engaged on your sphere of responsibility and consulted as required.
