This is an exciting opportunity as an Assistant Finance Business Partner within HSE providing support to a Divisional Business Partner (Band 2) to ensure the Divisional Director and senior managers receive expert strategic advice on all matters finance, planning, business performance and business risk.

This role supports the main major hazard sectors in HSE (including offshore safety and onshore chemicals). The risk profile and high hazard nature of these sectors requires HSE input which includes working in partnership with stakeholders; communication activities; and regulatory interventions (inspection, investigation, review of safety cases and enforcement).

The role includes being able to proactively identify and manage risks and opportunities (financial, performance and VFM) supported by the provision of management information from our award-winning Business Intelligence Team.

You will report directly through to the Business Partner and ultimately to HSE’s Director of Finance. As a member of the HSE finance and planning community you will bring strong technical skills combined with wider business experience and a willingness to develop your skill in a supportive and challenging environment. The roles include contributing positively to HSE’s overall performance and seeking business improvements in how we deliver our objectives.
